Got the TT back in w/o issues........dropped down and ready to mate the trans/TC/rear up...that was to easy
And just to make sure I got the upper wiring harness back in.....a little finese with a stick
Now the problem, went to reinstall the rear to craddle mount..... 1 bolt tightened.....the other spun Never good to have the threads come out on the bolt!
Time to go back to playing........will install a longer bolt with a nut, plenty of room
No plan on the 6 bolt.....haven't seen the need for it.
The trans jack made to alignment for 1 person awsome, TC bolted right up. If you have an ABS block in the back, for an A4 this works great!
All I have to do is fill the trans/rear, bolt up the cradle, finish bolting a few things and I will crank it up
Closer................just a few more small things and I will start it with no exhaust to check if all is ok, get the tranny fluid right, and warm it up so I can tighten the front shaft coupler.
The deep pan is tucked up nice and tight........
Got it started early on NY's eve, put more tranny fluid in........with open headers, all seemed ok.
Finished the tunnel plate(sprayed the exhaust side with high heat paint) & exhaust reinstall............3" stainless works is a PITA to put back on with 1 person but its on and all I need to do is to top off the trans fluid, drop it off the lift and go for a spin........hope all works ok
More than I can throw at it..............right now. it should take 650 w/o issue.
The level 2 took my 10K hard miles, 250 1/4 mile passes, road racing, auto xing and 700 mile trips & 500 rwhp/tq ........and I have no idea how it was treated prior to me owning it(came in the car).
Took it out for a spin last night ~breaks the 345/35/18s loose at 50mph in 2nd.........no loss of power for sure
Here are a few pics of the old TCS converter Stator and pump John didn't use in the build-up:
