Default Help-Missing my bushing!

I need some help with a problem that I am hoping someone has had before.

I took my 2004 vert with 43,000 miles and new tires in to have the shocks looked at because every time I hit a bump it rattles your teeth. They found (NTB) that I am missing the front driver's side neoprene bushing that the spring rides on. This is NOT the bushing that is on the top and bottom of the shock itself that is missing but the bushing that the spring sits on that runs from wheel to wheel. The passenger side is there but the driver’s side is gone. I assume this is a wear item but for it to be totally missing?
I am now feeling this because my shocks have worn down so far that they can no longer compensate.
Has anyone heard of this or maybe a recall??
Thanks for any help!

No.
If I understand your post correctly, that particular "bushing" is bonded onto the spring from the factory and is a non-replaceable item without replacing the entire spring.

If you are missing the threaded adjuster with the rubber pad on the end you can get a set at Hardbar.com. OEM shocks have past their short life span at 43,000 get some Bilsteins.

Are you missing the bumpers on both sides of the spring or just one side.

If you are missing the bumper (adjuster) from just one side you have more problems than just the bad ride, your vette will be out of alignment besides.

Best bet is to try and find a use spring on the forum or from one of the supporting vendors who sell used parts.

I've always been curious about this HARDBAR vendor...I think the link has a USA after it though...unless you're into drinking activities...
