Default Vacuum Brake Bleeder

I just purchased a vacuum "one-man" brake bleeder from Griots and wondered if there were any known issues using this type of unit on a 2001 C5? I was mainly concerned if there were any check valves or any similar disruptions in the C5 system that might impare the use of this method?

Also curious if this would bleed the "entire" system using vacuum at each wheel?

I have successfully bled my car at each wheel using a Mityvac. I don't know what kind of vacuum you bought but as long as it can draw enough vacuum (15-20 inHg) it should work.

One thing you have to be careful of is to open the brake bleeder as little as possible to allow fluid through. If you open them much past 1/8 turn the vacuum will suck air through the threads of the bleeder and you won't get a good bleed.

If you bleed at the wheels a lot, try getting some speed bleeders. Speed bleeders + a vacuum at the bleeder valve = a clean, fast bleed.

I can bleed my entire system in less than 10 minutes with NO mess using this method!
