it all depends on what CR you want to run. the thinner the cometics, the higher compression. ive had my heads on and off 4 times and reused the same cometics. never leaked once

what is the cometic .40 part #? thank you. the # i found had something to do with darton sleeves. just making sure i'm getting the right part.

Just check out the vendors to your left. Many of them sell gasket sets and individual gaskets, too. The Cometics are usually sold seperately, I think. The GM MLS will give you .060 compressed, so the .040 Cometics will bump your compression about .4 of a point. (WAG)
