i have a stock c5 vert, no mods, and the ride sucks
gotta put some now shocks on it, hear the Bilsteins are best for OEM replacement, any thoughts???
finaly, best /cheapest place to get them????
thanks in advance

Upgrade to ZO6 sway bars F&R along with the Bilstein sport shocks and you'll have a whole new ride.
Try the C5 parts section often you can pick up a slightly used set for a couple of hundred bucks. SBs also can be bought there also at a reasonable price or got to http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c5/ken...rtspage3.shtml
for the ZO6 SBs comes complete with metal ends for less than $300.00.
In my opinion one of the best places to get these shocks is from Forum vendor... Vette Brakes & Products. They're pretty darn'd good Corvette suspension specialists and they're more than happy to discuss your particular set up along with your intentions and make recommendations based on your plans. Cost of a set should be well under $300 with your Forum discount.
I also would recommend the Sports, particularly if you're lowered or plan to lower your car.
Good luck, you won't be disappointed with the Bilsteins...
If your going to maintain the stock ride height, the '04 Z06 shocks are another good choice. Forum member, and supporting vendor Gene Culley is having a weekend special with special pricing on some GM parts and free shipping on "normal" weight packages.
Here's his website. http://www.gmpartshouse.com/
Well,I checked and the shocks are just the normal discount, with free shipping.
The price has gone up quite a bit since I bought mine, so the Bilsteins might be a better choice, if price is important.
here's the pn's if you want to check.

You might want to check his pricing on the Z06 sway bars and metal endlinks though.
