99 Power Steering Pump Leak Repair or Replace?

I do HPDEs with my cars and the PS pump went once on my 97 and twice on my 03Z. All 3 times it leaked from the rear and was replaced under warranty or GMPP.

High Performance Driving Event or school. I do about 10 track days per year with quite a bit of time at max or close to max rpm per day. The Power Steering gets very hot and I've had bad luck with the pumps. It also makes one hell of a mess on the car.
