**HELP** 101 mass air code. what causes it, and how to fix it.
just downloaded a stock ls1 edit file for a 98 into my 97. now when i drive down the street and the car is still cold, it will set the check engine light and will not go anywhere. if you try to accelerate the car will not go and the rpms drop and the car will go dead. you have to clear the code befor the car will go anywhere. have'nt been able to get the car to do the same thing once its warmed up. dont know if its only a cold start up issue or not. the car only does this once you are going. any help would be great. if you have had this problem and solved it, please let me know what you did to fix it. i know the 101 code is a mass air performance code, but what do i do to fix it.

What is the exact code and was the PCM download the only change? If you are referring to the P0101 code, it is almost always caused by unmetered air entering downstream of the MAF (e.g., too tight/loose clamps, cracked air bridge or IAT sensor grommet).
