I have a 2000 coupe mn6, I put the royal purple Max ATF synthetic in (dextron III atf compatable) its been in there for about 1500 miles, now in the sticky I read it says that stuff may be harmful and ruin my tranny due to it being synthetic and me having paper blockers, should I switch to r.p. sycromax soon??? Please someone help me on this im going nuts.
I have run M1 synthetic fluid in both my '94 Z-28 (T56 tranny) and my '00 FRC (T56 tranny). Pretty much the same internals, just oriented differently.
Current mileage on the Z-28 is 190,xxx, and the '00 FRC is 148,xxx. Had an unrelated tranny component failure in the Z at around 175K miles (bad driveshaft caused fretting), and no problems at all on the FRC. So, you should be fine.
