Default painted fuel rail covers

I am getting ready to paint mine. What kind of prep work did you do before you painted them?

Clean them really good with wax and grease remover. Scuff them with a grey scotch pad. Spray them with a plastic adhesion promoter(Get some automotive grade stuff, like PPG. Bulldog makes some stuff that is supposed to make paint stick to just about anything, you could use that too.). Then spray on your color, single stage or base/clear. I would only use automotive grade paint(like what a bodyshop would use) PPG makes great paint, that is what I would use. :chevy

I washed mine with Dawn, then painted them with Rust-oleum (that's right, no sanding, no primer, no nothing). After a few days to dry, I cleared them with Rust-oleum. They have worked fine for nearly a year of daily driving.
