Default Help please with a plug connector post header install

OK. Spent several hours (ok way too damn long) doing my AR header install today. After what I felt were some difficulties getting them mounted (bam! .. not so much) I got everything routed well, fit and finish are solid, everything looks good. Well except this one connector which for the life of me I cannot find a home for.

The connector has a purple trim ring and is what I would call 3 prong. This is NOT an oxygen bung connector as those are both connected and zip tied up and out of the way. It is on the passenger side inner fender area and looks like it should be connected up closer to the header flange rather than down by the collector.

Please help it was dark and I do not have pics at this point. Will be hitting up the manuals in a few minutes. Thanks in advance

Oh btw, the car would not start. Guessing it is this connector as everything else is connected (coil packs, o2 bungs etc etc)

Off the top of my head I would suggest trying to find a home for it on the starter?????

If you find a distributor on your C5 please post a picture.

This connector either goes to the crank position sensor or the oil level sensor, I didn't have to disconnect either of these to install my headers but you may have for some reason.
The crank position sensor is above the starter and the oil level sensor is in the side of the oil pan, both on the passenger side of the car.

Crank position sensor is #1 in this illustration.

Oil level sensor is lower and nearby.

Ignore my WB O2 sensor - the oil level sensor plug is blue here.

Wow Patches thanks a ton, that must be exactly the problem and based on how the wire was curved must be the connector I am missing (and the reason the car won't start). Great diagram as well.

Thanks to all that responded I will be headed over to my buddies shop in a bit to see if I can get it worked out.

Connector issue solved, if my arms/hands were 1/2" thicker I would have had to pull the header and the starter, took me 20 minutes to get it connected and locked into place.

Have other issues that I need to check out but the headers are all squared away I think. Thanks again
