Default air intake duct question

I posted this in general, but it was suggested to post it here.

My question is I just got a Breathless carbon fiber air duct and there is no place for the temp sensor. Before I cut into it I thought I would check w/you guys to see if you had any suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

Some filters have a hole for the sensor. I would prob get a stinger air filter with the hole in it before I cut the air dam.

I would think you could duplicate the hole (position/size) in your stock duct and be fine as long as the IAT sensor seals well enough in the hole to prevent an air leak.

Make a similar size hole in the side of the duct a little forward of the connector to the throttle body and use the original rubber grommet it snaps into on the stock duct. It will work just fine. I did my '98 that way.

if you send it to me... i will try an figure out where to drill the hole the size of the stk one and try it out for oh.. say a yr or so to make sure all is good. then upon your request and my satisfaction that what i did worked. i would ship it back to you. 2000 and older have the temp sensor on the pass front sde of the air bridge. 01 and later have it on the driver rear of the air bridge. moved my 2000 to the 01 and newer spot thinking there was a reason they moved it from the factory. better sence of the temp going in i guess. if you contact breathles performance they can send you the detailed instuctions. i have that cold air setup also.
