New Vette owner here. I'm not ready to cut on my new car. So, what is the best air intake products or set up if I don't want to slice her up?

Cut her up!!! Lots of performance gain from it, and that shroud can be ordered for $30 replacment.... or you can order a pre-cut one and keep one thats on your car for a spare.

What is the risk of voiding the warranty if she is cut on?

Do some research on this in the forum I have seen posts of gains of 22HP to maybe 3HP for the same intake  The bottom suckers do carry the risk of water ingestion which can ruin your motor.. I went with the Donaldson as it gave me a free flowing filter, with a minimum chance of water problems :jester

If you absolutely - positively don't want to cut, get the Donaldson.
BUT......... do yourself (and your car) a favor by giving your engine some fresh air :yesnod: either by cutting the shroud and using another intake system (K&N, Vortex, HallTech, etc.), or installing some type of intake screens (Z06 or aftermarket) with the Donaldson. :D

No more at risk than a underhood one would be.... should not be an issue. As with all aftermarket parts, dealers are likely to blame them should you latter develop a problem that they cannot fiqure out. If thats ever the case... just put the stock one back on to prove its not the cause. Cutting the should produces huge gains...that cannot be measured on a dyno, but can be felt on the track and street, the CAIs are great mods.

Get the Donaldson Blackwing and add some front intake screens like these http://www.westcoastcorvette.com/pro...ail.cfm?iid=86from West Coast Corvette, let some outside air in to feed the intake.

Use the Haltech MAG and the RM Racing twin filter. Looks cool and would work well. Try posting a WTB on the "C5 parts 4 sale" section. I think one of the members is upgrading to the Hatech TRIC.

I just received the Halltech Tric for my 99 m6.This replaced the K&N twin flow that I have.I did something different with it though.I did not cut the hole thru the shroud.Instead,I used the coupler and air bridge connected to one side maf sensor and the wedge filter on the other end.The filter is located were the stock filter used to be.Now,this is the twist,I loosen the bottom middle portion of the shroud to act like and cold air scope.I can notice a big difference in the vehicle and the exhaust tone was changed too.WOW! :chevy
