CAM Install.....
I am planning on installing Camshaft, Dual Springs, Push Rods, Retainers, Seats, & Seals. Basically LG Cam kit. I was wondering after doing that and hopefully if everything goes fine, would my car be driveable to take it to a tuner???

The ls1howto write up is very good, its the one i used. I believe on a mn6 it shouldnt be to hard to drive to a tuner but it may be a little more difficult with and a4. Also it depends on how radical of a cam you are going to install. But your gonna love it regardless

Yes, it will be drivable.
Depending on hoiw big of cam you go, it may be tough to keep idling, and also expect to see the check engine like and numerous codes along the way. All normal stuff after a cam swap, and all will be taken care in the tuning process.

It will be drivable, but depending on how far you drive it, you could kill your O2 sensors. I installed a small 224 cam, then drove it home (approx 100 miles, 90% of it interstate) and it killed one of the front O2s
Just another questions....Is there anything else I should be replacing while of this is out for the Cam?? I have heard folks changning the water pump.......does that help??

Depends on how many miles are on the car. My water pump died at 98K miles. If you don't have anywhere near that then I wouldn't bother.
The only other thing I would absolutely change is the balancer. Do not re-use the stock balancer. It is a press fit item and will not fit as tight after taking it off and putting it back on. Plus the stock one is a piece of crap. You can go underdrive and gain a few ponies or stay the stock diameter. Makers are ASP, Power Bond and ATI. For added security you can key it to the crank too.

As for driving 80 miles, that is nothing. I put a G5X4 cam in my car in Florida, and drove it home 1500 miles to Wisconsin basically untuned. I cheated a little and used a throttle body with a hole in the blade, it's probably the only thing that allowed the car to even idle...but other than that and some very minor PCM adjustment (not any actual tuning), the car ran fine and got me home no problem.
Sounds good......I guess I am going to do it. Now I just need to find out how good the parts are in the LGMs kit. I like Cobra4Bs kit. Please advise if you guys have any experience with the LGM kit.

LGM is one of the best tuners out there.... their products are road raced and designed by people that use them.
That's not to say you can't get great stuff elsewhere, but LGM cams are proven to make great power while maintaining low end torque.
