Winter DD Vette issues
aside from the obvious snow plow shape of the car, i havent ran into much in my 3 weeks DD'ing my 2000 Coupe.
what i have noticed though is that when the temperature flutters around freezing, my door ajar switches go whacko. i can only assume that moisture and freezing water are to blame, but i was wondering if anyone else has ran into this.
I will be driving and it will act like my door is being opened, and the door ajar notice comes on along with the dome light. the door is securely shut, and if you open and shut the door, it goes off for a few (maybe 20 seconds sometimes longer/short) seconds before the light comes back on. it is only the drivers door, but the passenger's door is almost never opened.
when it is below 20*, it doesnt do it, but if it is between 25-35, it does it all the time.
I am thinking about pulling the door panel off and checking the door switch, but i figured i would see what people suggest first.
i would call it a ground problem, but it has NO effect on anything else.
