Default Hawk HPS vs. OEM Semi metallic

Getting ready to order brake pads and have narrowed it down to these two.

From researching this forum, there are favorable write-ups for both.

I have 2 questions and am interested in what other forum members have to say:

- Are the Hawk HPS semi metallic and do they dust more than the OEMs?

- Would there be any noticeable difference in braking feel between the two?

Thanks in advance.

The Hawks are carbon mettalic and lay out black dust like a mother.

The Hawks will stop better than the OEM but make a bigger mess.

I run ceramic pads on all 4's from Pep Boys. They have a lifetime warranty and still dust but not as badly as OEM. I use them in autox and have had no problems. The ceramic pads do eat rotors quicker than carbon or OEM pads.

Your choice - you pays yo money and you takes yo chances.

Good luck

I recently switched from OEM to Hawk HPS and don't see a significant increase in dust at all.
