I'm looking at a set of '05 Z-51 Springs on E-bay. What I would like to do is use the slightly softer (over Z06) Z-51 suspension, '04 Z06 bars and shocks in my car. My car is an '04 Corvette with the stock "floating" standard suspension.
Are C-6 and C-5 springs interchangable? The guy who is selling them says yes, but as I recall there is a difference in track between the two cars, which would mean, longer spring/control arm or same length spring/stiffer rate/and longer control arm. I hate to throw away $300. on an experiment.
Sounds like the front spring might work, but the rear definitely won't, unless the C6 control arm setup can be swapped out as well (which is probably not likely).
In an effort to KIS, I'm just gonna go with the C6Z shocks and call it day.
