Ls1 Vs Ls2
As my highschool teacher used to say, can anyone compare and contrast the LS1 and the LS2 engines. I was told recently that they were pretty much the same engine with some minor changes. Anyone care to comment?

same stroke or crank ls2 has a larger 4" bore for 364ci over the ls1 346ci, the ls2 comes with the later ls6 heads other diff like sensor locations etc--I used the 4" bore ls2 block with a 4" crank to build a square motor 402ci thereby avoiding using a sleaved block and it makes for a very streetable package though you can get a tremendous amount of power per cubic inch out of this setup
