Newb question

Can someone tell me how to read the specs of a cam. Sorry im not used to the single cam specs and such. Sorry about the rookie question.

What exactly do you not know how to read?

There is duration,lift,Lobe seperation.

the whole combo. like when someone is selling a cam they list out like a combo of 6 numbers. im not sure what each one is standing for

It could be a part number. Or does it look like this. 224/224 563/563?? The first set of numbers are (224/224 is duration, and the the 563/563 is the lift)

There is also usually a final digit (such as 117) which is the Lobe Seperation Angle .... also known as overlap.
