i am lookign to buy a set of LG long tubes street series with X pipe no cats for 700 is their a diffrence between the 97-00 and the 01-04 because i have a 00 and he think that they are for a 01 but he said you can buy somethign to make it work? is this a good buy please help
The only differences between those years is the location of the AIR tube port on the header primary (passenger side - either tube 2 or 3). If you are buying these new LG usually ships all headers with a '01-04 AIR tube included to replace the '97-'00 version. If you are buying these used be sure to get an '01-'04 AIR tube before you do the install.
BTW: AIR Tube part number #12561494 - Price is about $50

When I installed my used LG Pro's I didnt have the 01-04 air tube. I cut it and put the right length of fuel line to make it reach. No problems. Just an idea if you dont want to spend that money on it. Good Luck!

Behind the check valve, I'm guessing? Great idea. Didn't have to remove the intake manifold that way? I'm curious b/c I'm fixin to install a set on my '97.

I cut it on the passenger side where the air tube pipe is pretty straight, kinda close to where it bolts to the headers. Yea i didnt have to take the intake manifold off, saved a lot of time and headache. Good luck on your install! Let me know if I can help you if you have any questions.

Thanks for the help offer ....I'm hoping that with jMX's writeup I won't have much trouble....only problem I'm having is installing them the way they came.....I'm such a tinkerer/tweaker, and the configuration just doesn't meet the perfectionist's design! I was going to go into detail, but I don't want to hijack the thread....
