Does anybody have a copy of the window motor TSB? If such a thing exists.
Both of mine started growling when going up and down about 4 months ago, two weeks ago one of the motors went out and I got it replaced yesterday. I'm worried about the other side doing it too.
Yep! :yesnod:
Our window motor went out on the pass side without any warning at all. From talking to club members it has happenened to a lot of them. It just happened to my Silverado too. Must be the same motor.

The new motor does not make the growling noise.

Bulliten #00-08-64-004...L/S #10446574 R/S #10446575...The growl noise comes from the window regulator cables not the motor...The regulator comes complete with a new motor as an assembly...

Thanks. I dont know if it was the motor that went out, but they told me they replaced the motor and regulator.
Should I get them to fix the other side also, even though it still works?

Look at it this way...I replace 10 right sides to every left side...The motors simply get a dead spot from lack of use.If the regulator cables are growling,I would replace it.
