Help with chirping sound under hood.

It sounds like it's coming from the alternator, but I've heard that the idler pulley is the culprit or else the belt. Does anyone have the full text of TSB #99-06-01-007? Does anyone have part numbers for the belt, alternator, and idler pulley? In fact, does anyone even have directions on how to replace the pulley (if that's what it is?) I know I could get this done under warranty, but I don't trust the dealerships around here.
Thanks

Scissors,
TSB #99-06-01-007 is named: Accessory Drive Squeak (Replace Idler Pulley).
My 1999 C5 coupe (A4) had the chirp or squeak. The dealer replaced the idler pulley (per the TSB) with revised/updated part #12564401 - Idler Pulley Assembly. The new pulley has a thicker dust shield to prevent distortion. The "old" pulley has a thickness of .61 mm and the new part is 1.37 mm.
The TSB states, "The idler pulley dust shield may distort during assembly due to torquing of the mounting bolt. This distortion may cause the idler pulley dust shield to contact the bearing race and the pulley resulting in the squeak noise."
The TSB applies to 1997-1999 Corvettes, 1998-1999 Camaro and Firebirds with the LS1 engine.
The new pulley eliminated the noise on my C5. Good luck.
