Air filter ?
What air filter replacement for the stock one do you recommend?
I don't want to change the intake system right away (vortex, etc...), so I want to know what filter will help the engine 'breathe' better.
Is the filter swap even worth it?

I'm not sure about breathing BETTER, but I went to 2 K&N replacements;
I always have 1 ready, and can take my time cleaning the other. About $60-$70 each and they're "lifetime" filters.

I replaced the factory filter with a K&N. I also swapped out the air filter lid for the new 02 Z06 lid. Both parts set me back about $125 but I can tell you the car feels so much stronger especially above 5000 RPM. Worth looking into, you can do the filter now and the lid later. These are probably the easiest mods you can do to a C5 and actually feel the results.

I agree... If you don't want to go the extra mile of putting a new system in(which is WELL worth it and very easy to do,BTW), a K&N replacement OEM filter will be an improvement
