Default Damn Squeak

Guys,
I have had this annoying squeak for the longest time. I had the rocking seat issue fixed and still had the squeak. I replaced my leather on drivers side due to grease from dealership getting on and not coming out and while seat was out an upholstery place put some "special" fabric around plastic retainers which they said was causing squeak. Well it didn't help. I finally come to realize it was my seat belt retraction pulley/system haha. Has anyone taken that apart and greased it before? I don't wanna start pulling interior parts off and risk cracking something unless I have some guidance.

Thanks

Probably the shoulder harness retractor. Do you have a coupe, FRC or Vert? Instructions vary depending on body style.

Do you have Bilstien shocks. If so, probably the upper bushing.

Its the retractor for the shoulder harness/seat belts. Mine does the same thing and it is annoying.

Have not tried to do anything about it yet. I plan to add some lube to the springs. It sounds like a metal on metal rub thing.

I am out of town until next Wednesday so can't get to any of my info. I have the service manuals that show how remove the belt but I am not sure lubricating anything in the retractor will help. I had the same squeak in my 03Z and the dealer replaced the belt under warranty.
