I have an 01 coupe and I have been told the tan colored carpet is called "medium dark oak". I want to be sure that is what I have as I need to order a rear cargo mat. Were there any other oak or tan colored carpets that year, or is "med dk oak" the only one?
Next: The supplier, ACC, asked if I had regular or Tru-Vette carpet. I didn't know. Can someone explain the difference?
Thanks in advance from a new C-5 owner.
I hope it is not impolite to give this a bump, but I never got an answer to my carpet color question.
In the meantime, I have looked at my glove box sticker with all the codes on it. How do I know which code is for the carpet color?

(Scroll almost to the bottom of the page for Interior colors)
Yours is called "Light Oak" ... and my 2001 Data Book also lists that as the color.
I'm not sure about the other question ... there used to be (may still be) a company that made new carpet sets for the C4 generation called Tru-Vette, but I haven't seen it for the C5 ..... maybe you should look at getting Lloyd's mats, they're excellent ... you can get them at:
Thanks. good info. So that means there are only 5 colors in 2001 and mine has to be called "light oak". I wonder why ACCarpet is calling theirs med. dark oak
Does anybody know, is there a code on the glove box id sticker for the interior / carpet?

OK Thanks. I see my trim code there as listed on my glove box door. 673 - light oak.
I just don't understand why different carpet suppliers are using different names. EG. Oak, Medium dark oak, etc.

I would stick with brand names that use the correct color names as they will match correctly.

Lloyd's uses the correct color names because they make the mats for GM ... these are the mats you get when you first buy the car (if you order that option).
