Default center console lock
Is this cylinder a match to the ignition or will any vette key open it. Has anyone ever tried to get a new lock cylinder from GM? thanks

Mine doenst lock with the car key, im assuming its broken and should though

Although it doesn't use all of the tumblers of the ignition lock, I imagine it is a match to the ones it uses.

I wouldn't worry about a key to lock the console. That lock is only good if you want to keep a 3 year old out anyway.

my key turns the cylinder but lock mechanism. do I have to take the console out to repair th link mechanism or is there away from the inside of the console? thanks for your help!

The lock has a clip that holds it in. Just pull it up or pry it up and off
