No nitrous, no H/C, just bolt ons and some sticky tires or slicks and only M6's and an LS1 engine (no ZO6's :D). Thanks. Gonna try out some BFG's with 5K Dumps tomorrow to see what I can muster .
Hope you have money for more clutches.....5K dumps will do some serious harm to your clutch, not to mention if you aren't on slicks you'd just spin the tires. The stock clutch is not designed for that kind of abuse. Be careful out there.
I was wondering the same thing. Who has the fastest bolt on M6? I ran my best time of 12.44@114.11mph last April. Only mods on the car are in my sig. The run was on DUKE's BFG Drag Radials... :D
That was also ONLY launching at 2000 RPMs. The stock with 60,000 mile clutch will not hold with a harder launch. With a clutch and cooler weather.... 12.2's? Add a pulley and headers... 11.9's?
Well, gonna try about 4K launches on BFG's tonight, lets hope for 12.1x's! Maybe I can hold the fastest M6 bolt on for a while. Fingers are crossed and will be videotaping it! Be back if a few hours!
I have got to say, I LOVE NITTO DR's! I didn't get a chance to try the BFG's on from my bro's car but he let me use his Nitto DR's instead. Well I didn't even heat em' up. I launched from 3500 and mashed the gas and NO CHIRP just puts your head back into the seat. Shifting to second the RPMS hardly dropped, stayed right at 5K and kept climbin'. I pulled a 12.670 @ 111.348 with a 1.957 60' with 75F and 70% humidity and some wind blowing in. It started pouring rain 5 minutes after that run and it was just starting to get cool, mid 60's by the time we packed up and left. I know it could have gone much quicker and I could have launched at at least 4500-5000K, the clutch felt great. Needless to say, I'm happy with my times and I know it has more in her :p:.
