Default Cartek Clutch

Anyone knows what Cartek clutch is rated at? Will it be able to hold up to a heads&cam C5 (430RWHP) with 150 shot of NOS?

Thanks

Most definately, it held Snowman's up to ~751 RWHP!

I agree with C5Noir...

From what I have read on this forum, their clutch has yet to be out-powered.

From the Cartek website:
Our clutch has been tested for some time now in vehicles using nitrous, stage 2 heads and cam with nitrous, twin turbos, superchargers and NA applications with awesome results. The high performance pressure plate and disc provides 100% more clamping force than the stock clutch assembly. If you're an aggressive driver, this clutch is a must. The CARTEK clutch includes our bronze/ceramic clutch disc, heavy duty pressure plate, pre-bleed modified hydraulics with DOT5 master with adjustable pedal rod and slave. This is a must have if you want the ultimate in proven clutch technology that delivers all the power from your engine to the wheels.
Thanks

CARTEK is now a vendor in the mall. Go to the mall look at all group purchases you will see the CARTEK clutch. Look inside and read the write up as they detail what setups thay have had success with.

I believe their clutch can handle 430RWHP with 150 NOS.

Yes it will hold that much RWHP. But, your asking the wrong question. You should ask how much RWTQ it can hold. Torque moves the car ;)

PLENTY of torque. Although I have only 418RWHP I have even less RWTQ, around 397. So far so Gooood!

Not RWTQ...Torque is static...

The true test for that Cartek Clutch(And I have ONLY heard GOOD THINGS about it) would be behind an LPE TT(Stage whatever). That combo in a stage II makes a mochary out of whatever goes in. It'd be nice to see one hold up behind 640 foot pounds of torque which is what stage II's typically make. That is simply nuts.

Agreed.Torque kills parts, not HP...but correct me if I am wrong... you don't lose any torque at the wheels. I'm pretty sure I'm still making 480 foot pounds or so even on a chassis dyno.
