Default RTD Harness

The wireing harness that comes out into the rear driver side compartment that plugs into the RTD module has got wet and i believe the connection is corroded. I cleaned the contacts from the harness to the RTD, but i'm still getting an ocassional "Open Circuit" code from the RTD effectively disabling my shocks. I've ordered a new RTD, but i'd also like to clean the wiring harnes. So my question is, does the 10" long section of harness inside the car disconnect in any way? It looks as if i could disconnect that harness and clean it seperately.

Thanks,
Dan

Hmm. Does anybody have any idea on whether or not the harness inside the car is removeable? Would a Service Manual have those details?

My new RTD is coming in, and i suspect my current one isn't the problem, instead the harness is corroded. It looks like it comes out, but i can't figure it out and don't want to break it. If someone could confirm it comes out, then i'll try harder... lol

Thanks
Dan

Well - since i've got no replies - i'm going to assume i'm the only person on this board who has F45 installed, or has actually seen the RTD module.

So - i called the dealer and asked about replacement harness components. I figured if they carry replacement parts for it, the thing is removeable. Turns out it is replaceable, i just have to drill out the rivets that hold the connecters to the body. Then replace and re-rivet or screw in.

So this weekend i'll look into drilling them out, and cleaning or replacing the connection. I suppose i can post the results, but i don't think anyone has F45, or cares about the harness...

We'll see how it goes...

I have the F45, but don't really care about the harness.

In any event, all the best with your repair, Dan.
