Help! Need recommendation on Fuel Upgrade
I was hoping someone would know what the stock fuel injectors are
rated at and also what is considered an upgrade. I think the stock
ones are 24#. Now, I saw alot of people upgrading to SVO 30#
injectors but is that 30# measured at Fords 40psi rating? Are the
stock 24# injectors in my 99 C5 measured at 40psi or at the 60psi
stock pressure of the corvette? I guess another way to put it is,
are the 24# injectors in my car the same as SVO 24# injectors?
Second, Fuel pump upgrade.. Do you recommend an inline pump or in
tank drop in? Does anyone have any part numbers for replacement
drop in pumps with higher flow rate?
I am running 9 psi through a supercharger and getting 466 to the
rear wheels but I am leaning out after 5000 rpms. It basically
richens to that point and then starts dropping off. I have a
secondary pump inline that increases the fuel pressure to the
injectors based on boost but I feel that maybe the injectors are
maxing out or the rear stock pump cannot flow enough to keep up
with the higher pressure secondary pump. I had heard 24# injectors
were only good for about 425 to the rear wheels.
