I have a 2000 Coupe with about 26,000 miles. I recently removed my cats and had an x-pipe welded in. It may be coincidence, but the car is getting very hard to start, sometimes I have to crank for 5 seconds or more to get it started. Once started, it runs strong. If I crank it for a second or two, then back off, and crank it again it starts right up. It doesn't seem to matter if the car is hot or cold. I don't want to put it in for service, because I know they are going to blame the missing cats. I'm going to change the fuel filter and see if that helps. No other modifications have been made in the past 15,000 miles.
I also have a display problem: My little temp display is so dim that I have to keep the guage lighting maxed to see it, even at night. If I tap the display a few times it will brighten up for a few seconds.
My drivers side seat seems loose, like it's moving in it's mounting. I asked them to fix it twice, and they said they tightened it. Anyone else have this problem?

put on a fuel pressue gage, turn on the ignition, and see if the pressure stays up after the 3 second run of the fuel pump. if the pressure goes to 0 then the check valve in the pump is not holding the pressure. my 99 did the same thing till they changed the pump. :chevy
