Oil is forced in at high RPM and G-force. Oil is sucked thru at air coupler end (Bornouli effect).
The Elite or AMW are nice but LOTS of oil gets past them. Just put a cheap paper type fuel filter in line after one of these can and you will see it quickly catch oil (I used to do this.....but got tired of having to put a new one on after every track session)

Shown is ver 848 which is a WIP without filter but it better shows the concept. The system is closed running like a vacuum pump except when venting pressure. The vent check valve is the tall piece on top. #847 is running on a new LS7 wet sump with L92s and is working great so far. Want to try measuring the vacuum this weekend. 848 will go on mine as soon as the motor goes back in. The check valve and fittings are rather pricey so far.
