kewl: hold down the open and close buttons together at the same time for about 5 seconds and horn should beep....then you're all set.

ya, the lock and unlock buttons actually. If that doesn't work, you will have to follow the procedure in the manual for the car to re-learn key fobs through the DIC. Make sure you have both fobs if you have to do it through the DIC.
