Auto trans/diff fluid
For axle gear lube, the full synthetic from Valvoline, with two bottle of the GM friction modifier for Posi-traction units.
BTW, the Mercedes dealer charged me $325 to to the complete fluid exchange on my brides E 320 sedan.
I guess that why I remain a Chevy fan, still have my first car in the garage - '67 Chevelle, bought new.
Engine, trans and rear end.
I would suggest doing a pan drop in order to change the transmission filter and clean the magnet on the bottom of the pan.
You can only get like ,I think 4 quarts out and back in.
And it's a real mess.
A friend of mine helped me and he is and old GM mechanic and we still made a mess.
I then had the whole system flushed to get it all out at the Toyota dealer. ( I like those guys better than the Chevy mechanics )
And had RP put in. Again my memory is that it took 12 quarts.
It runs cooler and seem to have a lot more power, shifts great.
Check out the RP web site. ( sorry no link )
