Yesterday I was using a patient's garage (mechanic by occupation) and was using his automatic brake flush machine. Talk about an easy way to flush a system! Anyways... on both rear wheels upon removal and replacement I noticed that there was inner and outer play of the wheel assembly. I messed witht the whole thing for somme time and finally came to the conclusion that the outer tie rod end link on both sides are going bad. Left worse than right. There is no visable unusal wear on the tires but I am going to replace these this week. I already have the Z06 sways, bushings , metal endlinks, and shocks... so what the hell... might as well replace. my questions are as follows:
1. could the extra movement allowed by the bad end links be causing some extra road noise?
2. where the best place to buy these? are end links end links? NAPA or autozone.... or some place like eckler's?
