is the F45 option the ride control option???? what years is this avail on and what exactly does it do compared to a none F45
Yes- Ride Control, was on C5's from 97 to I want to say 01 (possibly 02) where it was changed to F55. The F45 has 3 positions (touring, sport and performance) the F55 has 2 settings (touring, Sport) basically it adjusts the shocks using a ferris liquid being energized (like a magnet) to make stiff or soft. The cars have the base suspension otherwise (springs and sway bars). Had it on my 00 Coupe- always left it in performance mode...could not tell the difference between the middle (sport) setting though. It was a cool litle gadget I guess...but my 97 Z51 coupe did handle better without this...the Z51 springs stiffer and sway bars were larger.
