I just bought my 02 coupe about 2 weeks ago and I have already had problems with the steering column locking. Thanks to the forum, I was able to get the local dealer, though they faught me as if I were taking money out their personal bank account, to make the repair at N/C.
Here is the problem…
They made the repair this past Monday and yesterday I had the “Service Steering Column” problem again. The dealer say’s it is the Column lock actuatorthat has gone bad and has nothing to do with the recall. Is this possible? Or have they just not yet given up on getting my $720.00 for a repair?
My mechanic, whos been working on my cars for years, told me he does not mess with Corvette steering column issues and that it is a dealer problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
