It seems my vents dont blow too hard anymore. If i apply vaccum to the arm that opens/closes the vent/floor/defrost door it will blow very hard out of the vents. The vacuum line to the back of the intake is pluged in and not leaking as are the lines going under the battery to that vacuum reservoir and then to the inside of the car. Can anyone tell me what kind of vacuum they are pulling at the connection under the passenger side dash? It seems I may not be pulling enough vacuum to fully close the vent door but I don't really recall how they blew out the vent before. I have a VERY mild cam (CHEATR cam) so I'm sure Im pulling enough vacuum at the manifold. Any advice would be helpful.
Trying pulling the fuse to the HVAC and re-installing it. Once power is returned to the system, the actuator doors will re-calibrate. That could be your problem, hope so anyway, that's an easy fix!
If that doesn't work, pull your codes and post em...
I ahd this problem with my truck, it turned out to be the actual heater control box with all the settings on it, it went bad. The dealer replaced it and al lis fine.
I had the same issue, I "thought" everything was still connected but it turns out in the huge heap of cables under the battery, some acid had got onto it and broke the line! Fortunately it didnt ruin the harness though. I ran an entire new line and fixed the problem.
Dave had the same issue with 1999 coupe turned out to be the check valve in front of the vacuum resevior was leaking..sprayed some soap on it and it was leaking bad.. 15.00 part from gm if I remember right.. doug

I have no codes but I will try to pull the HVAC fuse. My battery has been dead a time or two this winter I figured that may recalibrate it??

Well that is why if someone who has good vent airflow knows what vacuum they are pulling at the under dash connection I will know if I have some leak. That way I don't have to pull the battery and a bunch of crap to get down there. Its an easy plug to get to w/o removing anything. It just sits there under the glovebox.
