Default Header/CEL question..

I have a great opportunity to buy some LG pros from a friend at a VERY fair price. What i was wondering is this. He has the ones w/o the cats, aside from going and getting the car tuned immediatley is there a quick, easy, and cheap way to get the CEL off in the mean time once they are installed? The reason why i am asking is because i plan on doing cams in a month or two anyway and i do not want to have to pay for a tune twice just to lose the CEL.

Discuss..

If you are going with high-flow cats, you could clear the CEL using the IP information center buttons. To do that, hold "Trip" down while pressing "Fuel" four times - once all the codes have gone by, use the "Trip" and "Option" buttons to navigate through the list and press "Reset" to clear all the codes for codes for the selected subsystem. This can even be done while driving the car. I don't know how long it will take for the codes to come back with the LGs, but it could be up to several days.

If you are not going with high-flow cats, then I don't think the above method would work. The above method also assumes that you are leaving the rear O2 sensors installed.
