After completing my motor build I have to publicly thanks some vendors who's extra effort made this project fun. I built a 440CI Darton sleeved motor with a 232-240 117 cam. I did the engine build and swap myself but without phone assistance from Roger and Joe Vinci of Vinci Hi Performance this would not have turned out as nice or as easy. Roger helped me through my custom cam design and went the extra mile through some snags I ran into. It would take too much space to explain the whole story but I can reduce it to, Roger's earnest behavior turned him from just a technically smart vendor to a friend to me. Thank you Roger! I must also mention RED (Race Engine Development) in Oceanside Ca, Steve Diemirjian's skills and heart are very appreciated. Rick at Synergy Motorsports also stepped up with heart and skills to make my motor run sweet. So the bottom line to me is that Roger, Steve and Rick could all charge more for their services because you are getting a genuine piece of technical passion and care that you are a satisfied customer.

Thanks John

During initial tuning I think it was around 515 rwhp and a little over 500 rwt. I'll need to do some final tuning and get a graph to post. I intentionally built a broad spread of power and wasn't worried about peak numbers. This engine will pull hard from 1500 rpm, and wind up metal really hard from 3000. I'll post the charts when I get them done.

Welcome to the forum Roger, It is hard to realize the little details of an engine build and swap that can leave you dead in the water or having to pull the engine out or halfway out to reconnect a sensor or tighten a plug. This is where folks like you who take the time to talk to us laypeople are critically helpful. I have to also thank the forum members who share their knowledge so freely.

Thanks all.
