Default Has my car been lowered?

The prior owner of my 99 had the supsension upgraded to the Z06 sway bars and springs and had the adjustable shocks removed. I don't know if he lowered the car.

The highest point on the front wheelwell is 28 1/8 high and the rear is 28 7/8. Is this the stock ride height?

Also, how would I identify the type of shocks installed (stock or Z06)? I can only see the letters AKX on the shock sticker.

thanks!

Had "the" adjustable shocks removed. Which adjustable shocks would that be? The corvette has never come with adjustable shocks. Also, the ride height of the car is usually determined by measuring a point from the lower part of the frame to a level surface rather than using the body panel heights, since they can be rather inconsistent from car to car. As to the shock markings, I have no idea. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Some of them did. Look up RPO F45.

At those fender measurements, no, it's definitely not been lowered.

i just measured mine at 27 inches yesterday. straight up the center of the hubs to the bottom of the wells. mine was lowered and raised up some for clearance issues. yours is not lowered at those numbers. i have Z06 size tires on the front and that could alter mine in comparrison to yours. but i dont think at the 28 1/8 that yours is lowered at all. actually seems alittle higher than normal if you measured same spot as me.

thanks, sounds like I'm at stock height.

My car was originally built with the F45 Selective Real Time Damping.
