I am getting ready to change the sender. Refering to Victorz' description of the procedure, it is necessary to remove the coolant hose that goes to the throttle body. Question: does the coolant need to be drained from the radiator, or is there air in the line at this point?
No, you actually don't need to do that. You can unbolt the three 10MM bolts holding it to the manifold therefore just move it out of the way just far enough to get the manifold out. I did this same thing last weekend with no problem.
