I just completed installation of a FAST 90mm intake manifold and an LS2 90mm throttle body. Initial startup was fine but after about 1 minute of idling in the garage this loud squeal starts and will go away if I up the idle to around 1400rpm but is otherwise very loud at idle.
I recently installed a H/C pacakge and replaced all the hydraulic lifters and all idler pulleys while the car was down. The car was dyno tested and driven abot 200 miles with no whistles or loud squeals. I had the stock intake and throttle body for my 2001 vert and went with the FAST and LS2 setup per my tuner's recommendation.
Did you put new belts on?? If not , Try the Gatorback Belts at Auto Zone... The Best... Factory belts start slipping after 30,000 miles when its cold outside, even though the belts look fine Also, if you get one of the backspacers on backwards (idler pulley), you will hear some squealing.. Make sure the apex ( convex side) of the spacer is up against the pulley.. The dust cover on the front of the pullies can be over torqued too, causing the dust cover to squash down, causing an awful squeal... Been there, done that... Try to isolate the squeal, take off the drive belt.. If you hear squealing after this, then its your A/C belt/pulley.. If you don't hear squealing .. then its your drive belt or one of the pullies
