I own a 1997 and want to know if there any computer related issues when changing the battery? The owner's manual states that I will have to reset the key fobs and that's
ok. My local tire shop says they'll connect a battery trickler to the cigarette lighter so as to not interupt anything. But can I change the battery without doing that and not cause any problems?? Thanks

I changed mine last month. All I did was reset the keyfob (necessary) and there was a bunch of codes that popped up for loss of communcation/loss of power. All history codes. I didn't even see them until I manually checked for them on the DIC. I cleared them all out. Thats all there is to it. For some reason, it didnt erase my radio stations... but it had to cycle all the cds in the 12 disc again. You wont have any problems though doing it yourself and saving a couple bucks.
