I'm one of the guys with the funny gas gage. After 45 minutes it drops to empty. I tried techron, then more techron, seafoam, nothing works. It looks like its time to change the sender. Anyone know which one usually goes out?
Know the problem, had it with my 2000, tried those products you used and it didn't solve it.
What worked was product called BG (brand name) 44K , this will not be found in auto parts store- you have to goto a service garage. It is a very powerful "deposit" remover. One can did the trick, 2 years without the problem! Cost is approx $25 per can.

Try some Techron also. 2 Bottles on an empty tank then fill up, works wonders. Then add it once and oil change.
There was a TSB about sulfur build up. Most of the time it is that and not a bad sender. It is the non-top tier gas that does not have enough detergents.

I posted in another thread on this subject what cured my problem with this gas gage problem
After letting the car setup for a few days with less than half a tank the gas gage stated to act up.
So at below half a tank I put in a bottle of Techron that treats up to 16 gals. I let it sit for a couple of days, then added another bottle then topped of the gas tank. This was my fix.
I was told that sit with less than half a tank cause the sulfur to corrode the sending unit.
Replacing the sending unit(s) is expensive and should not be attempted at home.
The code will set for which tank the problem is coming from. Check your codes H & C.
Good luck...
