Default Gm Database-recalls

does anyone have access to a gm database that can tell what recalls and service bulletins that have been performed on a C5 with the vin #. i want to make sure that a prev. owner has'nt had the collum lock repair done before the recall. thanks

You can register your car with www.mygmlink.com and link the VIN. I've done that - then it shows your recalls and gives you a place to track maintenance history - both hired and self-done. I've found it useful for both the Rocket and my wife's more mundane Gran Prix GT. On both, when I log on, I get an immediate snapshot of the recalls that may be pending, as well as reminders as to how long it's been since that oil change or whatever.

I have all four of my chevies logged in. It also gives you access to an electronic Owner's Manual, which is helpful.
