How does my dyno graph look?
How does my dyno graph look? This is after the Donalson Blackwing, Corsa Indy and MAF screen removed. The engine pinged at around 5700RPM, it also did the same thing at the exact RPM during my first baseline dyno.
I doubt that it is because of bad gas because the engine never pinged, at or pass 5700RPM during driving on the street. I'll get some octane booster at the next dyno and see.

No clicking.....When my headers bill is paid off, I'll get the AutoTap and find out :-)

Have you replaced the stock plugs yet?
Thanks

Re: How does my dyno graph look? (leanhtuan)
The drop off of power at around 5700 RPM is very common on stock heads & cam LS1's. Even the dyno graphs comparing the LS1 & LS6 on the Corvette Museum website show this drop for the LS1.
I admit that yours is more dramatic than most I have seen.
At the last Dyno session I attended, I mentioned this to the dyno operator and he said every LS1 he has dyno'ed (F-Body and Corvette) has shown the same drop off unless it had a heads & cam package and computer tuning.
So, while normal, why does it do it?

So were the headers on, or off?

My first dyno had a jagged curve similar to your, replaced my stock plugs with TR-55. Cleared it right up, nice a smooth, give it a try!

I agree change the plugs first...then autotap to see what's up. I have a hook up with ATap, so let me know if you need help.

Thanks for the offer, Nilla :D
I'll try that at the next group dyno and let you know.

What kind of headers are you putting on?

Rick - I believe he has the TPIS long tubes.

TPIS Long Tube.
I know that it will definitely be louder at WOT, but anyone knows if it adds any noticeable interior resonance at cruising speed (35-70MPH)?
TIA

Dude, that graph looks exactly like one from another member who had bent Pushrods. Can't remember his nick.
He changed plug, wires, de carbed etc...
Then finally he had the push rods checked. Bent!
It starts to look clean then all messy and then just falls off.
I don't buy the bad plug idea.

Not again :mad Hopefully it's not the push rods. I missed a gear few months ago and bent a few pushrods but able to get them replaced under warranty.
The dip was already there during the baseline dyno, before the bent pushrods incident. But it wasn't as dramatic as now.
