I need some help or suggestions with my 99!
At low R P M the engine is hesitating when I accelerate and sometimes misses at high R P M. Can anyone help?
The obvious things to check would be plugs and wires (arcing or disconnected, plugs burnt or fouled). If all plugs and wires are find I might suggest finding someone with a Tech II scanner and check for misfires, sensors, injector tests, etc.
Check out the PCV valve and the small line connecting it to the intake port. On my '99, it was doing the same thing then found a large hole on the bottom side of the rubber connector to the intake..hidden from view.
Something I just recently found when I was doing the oil pressure sender relocation...I discovered that the cross-connect line for the PCV going from the left valve cover to the right valve cover, at the joint between, the rubber connection had disolved back there where no one can see it. The new replacement for it is a hard-plastic tubing assembly for it. I doubt this would cause any problems running-wise, but oil residue buildup and drippage on the rear of the engine would cause oil burning smell. Something to look out for.
