Default Strange Question About My Fuel Pump???

This is going to be hard to explain, but here goes. I replaced my stock fuel pump w/a Walbro 255. When installing the new pump into the canister, I broke it. The stock pump sits about 4-5 inches from the bottom. I broke the top part of the canister(where the pump sits), so I had to push the pump itself to the bottom of the canister. The hole at the bottom of the pump is pushed into the bottom hole of the canister...my question is, will this affect my fuel pressure in any way???

Thanks,
Jason

Is the fuel cylinder cracked now? I would think from the brief description that flow would be a biger issue to worry about, if you would want to worry. As the pump and bucket/cylinder are designed to hold a small amount of fuel, any crack or loose plastic could cause a supply or blockage problem (plastic breaks). But if it was just part of the alignment seat fr the pump, it should be alright.

Well, it's really hard to explain. Plus it's been a while since I installed it. I was just thinking about it, because I cannot run 150 wet shot of nitrous(w/out detonation). I was thinking about flow, if it could be restricted. I think it is cracked, I know for sure it's not how it should be.

There is site that shows pics on how to take just the pump out and replace it...can't remember what the site was???
