Default Battery Maintainer/Battery Tender

I have Schumacker SE-1-12S Fully Automatic/Onboard tender. I never get the "red" light showing charged but the Green light is lit. I check the vehicle in storage every two weeks or so by putting a trickle charger on it. The draw jumps immediately to 6 amps and slowly charges the battery over 12 hours or so.

I checked the output (DC) on the Schumacker and can't get anything but a mv reading indicating that there is no output. Obviously it's not working. Am I doing this correctly? Any advice?

I'm not sure how you're checking the output on the Schumacker,
since you can't put a meter on a battery tender and get a reading
that means anything. But clearly, if another tender shows activity,
the Schumacker isn't doing its job.

I use a 1.5amp automatic tender, and it will definitely go into
"float" mode overnight (showing that the battery is charged).
The float light will occasionally go out and then come back on
a few minutes later, but that can be expected.

Sounds like you need a new tender.

Thanks.

I'm measuring with a tester set to DC. It shows a -m.v. draw. You're right though. The proof is that the battery goes almost dead and re-charges as necessary with a trickle charger. We'll see what Murray's says when I bring it back.
