So the stealership says my fuel pump went out and wants to charge me over $1k to replace it. I say, screw that. From what i've read it looks like a really easy install. The only thing i'm worried about is the pump itself. I need to make sure i get the right one (and make sure that the dealership is right about the problem). Are all the fuel pumps for the LS1s the same? I found a great sale on LS1tech.com for an "LS1 Pump Replacment"
"Full Throttle Replacment pump kit Retail $149.99
Full Throttle PnP Hotwire harness kit Retail $69.99
NastyPerformance Pump and Hotwire Sale instock ready to ship $185.99"
I probably will not use the Hotwire kit, but i need a new pump.
Here is the thread with the details http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=666690
He says "LS1" but i'm not sure if he means both F and Y bodies.
I sent him an email, but i would like some input from you guys if possible.
Thanks
I think he is talking just F-Bodys. For some reason when I priced my ractonics kit I think the vette was quite a few more dollars than the F-Body. There is a corvette tax. I bought my fuel pump hot wire harness from Thunder. I recomend the hot wire harness it is a nice little feature if you do any mods in the future. It makes hooking up a BAP real simple. Good Luck

did you buy a pump from Thunder? They have 3 holly's on there. How hard would those be to install? They say "universal". Could i run a 255 on a stock tune?
